Tests

Acidity or alkalinity Take the supernatant obtained under the conductivity item, determine it according to the method (General Rule 0631), and the pH value should

be 5.0~7.5.

Chloride Take 0.10 g of this product, add 35 ml of water, shake, filter, take the filtrate, and check according to the method (General Rule 0801), compare it with the

control solution prepared with 3.0 ml of standard sodium chloride solution, and it should not be more concentrated (0.03%).

Water-soluble substances Take 5.0 g of this product, add 80 ml of water, shake for 10 minutes, stand at room temperature for 10~20 minutes, and vacuum filter (use a

microporous membrane or quantitative analysis filter paper with a pore size of 2μm or less), transfer the filtrate to a 105℃ constant weight evaporating dish, dry on

a water bath, and dry at 105℃ for 1 hour, the remaining residue should not exceed 0.2%.

E-ther-soluble substances Take 10.0 g of this product and place it in a glass column with an inner.

Main Uses:

Microcrystalline cellulose is widely used in pharmaceutical preparations, mainly as a diluent and binder in oral tablets and capsules, not only in wet granulation but also can be used in dry direct compression of tablets.

It also has certain lubricating and disintegrating effects, which is very useful in tablet preparation.

Microcrystalline cellulose type B, standard specification, is suitable for the preparation of tablets by all compression methods, especially for wet granulation, rotary-compression tablets, and pills, with good compressibility.
